1983 PONTIAC 6000 -- The brake proportioner valves may break and separate from the master cylinder. This would allow brake fluid to leak and would result in a partial loss of the brake system.

1983 PONTIAC 6000 -- Parking brake cables contain incorrect springs. These springs fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard no. 105, "Hydraulic Brake Systems".
